Project Setup Includes the Most Important Details
Each project is set up with the following critical pieces of information: start and end both projected and actual, customer if external, budget and actual. Each project can be set up with required roles, resources needed, along with respective budget.
Setup of Roles Required for Each Project
Each project may be set up with required roles, each defined with required number and priority.
Setup of Milestones for Each Project
Each project may be set up with milestones. Each milestone is defined with description, the target and actual date, and its sequence number in the progress of the project.
Project Based Tasks Management
Tasks required for the projects are easily managed. Each task is defined with a unique reference number, a free text description, the assigned role, the milestone under which the task is to be accomplished, the specific person in charge of the task, the expected and actual hours to complete the task, and the due date and the actual date the task was done. Optionally, tasks may be linked to each other by setting the predecessor and successor fields.
Assignment of Specific Personnel to Project Roles
If project roles are defined, specific personnel may be assigned to each. When assigned, the corresponding rates are automatically suggested based on any previously existing setup or they may be manually edited by the user.
Related Equipment and Supplies are Assigned to Projects
If applicable, specific equipment and consumable supplies are linked to each project. This allows the system to automatically compute the expected total budget required. More importantly as transactions related to each project are recorded, the total running costs are automatically computed and displayed on the project information page.
Recording of Transactions Linked to Projects Automatically Updates the Running Project Cost
Recording of Materials Requisition, Purchase requisitions, Purchase Orders, and Check Vouchers and identifying the related project for each automates computation of the total project costs, in turn enabling timely alerts to be sent to concerned parties in the event the expenses are already nearing the allocated budget.
Recording of Transactions Linked to Projects Automatically Updates the Revenues Earned from each Project
Recording of Sales Invoices, Billing Statements, and Collection Receipts and identifying the related project for each automates computation of the total revenues so far generated by each project.
Graphical Views of Each Project's Progress
Based on the project setup and its related tasks, generation of graphical reports such as GANTT Chart, Critical Path, and PERT are available on demand. These may be downloaded as images.
